Who runs this site?
Best Wedding Planning Apps is published by BW Digital BV, a small company in Hamme, Belgium. We also make Amovera, a wedding planning app. We’d rather you hear that from us up front than find it in the fine print, and our disclosure page explains exactly what it means for what you read here.
Why does this site exist?
Search for “best wedding planning app” and most of what comes back is written by the apps themselves, or by wedding marketplaces whose business depends on sending your details to vendors. Those lists tend to crown their own product and skip the question couples actually need answered: what does “free” cost?
Often, quite a bit. Some free apps earn their money from registry fees, some from vendor leads, some from advertising built on your wedding date and guest count. None of that is hidden exactly, but it lives in privacy policies and fee pages that nobody reads the week they get engaged. We read them. When we say an app shares your details with vendors or charges a fee on cash gifts, we quote the policy and link to the exact sentence.
The goal is simple: help you two pick the tool that fits how you want to plan, knowing what you’re trading for it.
How do we keep it fair?
With rules we apply to every app, including our own.

Competitors win where they’re better. Zola and Joy have free registries and wedding websites; Amovera has neither, and our pages say so. The Knot and WeddingWire have native mobile apps with years of reviews behind them; Amovera is web-only and launched in May 2026. When another app is the better pick for a job, it gets the recommendation.
Amovera’s weaknesses are listed plainly. It costs $129, it has no registry or website builder, there are no independent reviews of it yet, and its own privacy policy says its marketing website uses tracking pixels. All of that appears on its review, sourced the same way as every other app’s.
