Privacy: what happens to your data?

When you request a quote or message a vendor, The Knot passes your details and wedding info to that vendor, and the whole business runs on vendor leads, so expect follow-up calls and emails. The Knot Worldwide's privacy policy (updated Sept 16, 2026) covers The Knot, WeddingWire, Bodas, Hitched and other brands and lets data be shared across the group and with partners for their marketing, and says some of these disclosures may count as a 'sale' under US state laws. Its California notice says data given to ad and analytics partners for targeted ads may count as 'sharing' for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out through a privacy form or the 'Your Privacy Choices' option in the app settings.
